When and where are Maple Grove MBA classes held?
- The AACASB-accredited MBA program in Maple Grove holds classes at the St. Cloud State University Twin Cities Graduate Center located near the intersection of Highway 494 and Bass Lake Road. Most often, classes meet one night a week from 5:30 – 10:00 pm.
How many credits will I need and what courses will I take?
- The core MBA program is comprised of 11 courses totaling 33 credits. Course topics include organizational behavior, marketing, business law, accounting, financial management, operations, information systems, international business, and corporate strategy. In addition, elective courses address emerging topics such as corporate governance and leadership, contemporary issues in human resource management, detecting corporate fraud, and information systems security to name a few.
How long does it take to complete the program?
- Most students complete the part-time MBA program in Maple Grove in 26 months.
How much time will I need to spend on homework outside of class?
- Although the amount of time spent outside of class will vary for each student, generally, it is a good idea to plan to spend 10 – 15 hours each week for reading, research, and preparation for class.
How much does the Maple Grove MBA cost?
- The 2011-2012 per MBA credit cost is $725.00. Including tuition, fees, and texts, you may expect to spend about $25,000 - $27,000 for your MBA degree. This is a remarkable value for an AACSB-accredited Master of Business Administration degree.
Does my undergraduate degree have to be in business?
- The MBA degree provides a broad-based experience in organizational administration that is applicable to most fields; thus, it is a popular degree for students from a wide variety of educational and professional backgrounds. Many of our students have undergraduate and graduate degrees from disciplines other than business such as from engineering, health care, computer science, industrial technology, education, political science, mass communication, and music. Students may need to complete some or all of the Phase I pre-requisite coursework to be best prepared for the MBA program.
What do my GPA and GMAT scores need to be?
- Our application review process is designed to help ensure you will be successful in our program. We do what we can to help you determine if our MBA is a good fit for your learning style and your career aspirations. In reviewing application materials, we look at a number of factors including undergraduate GPA, GMAT score, essay, professional work experience, and recommendation letters. Sometimes, we schedule interviews with applicants as well. Generally, at a minimum, we require an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher and a GMAT score of 470 or higher.
